Comments: King's Creek is a wonderfully clear creek that starts on the Konza Prairie. It is commonly used as a benchmark prairie stream and is incredibly pure up until the time it leaves the preserve. Bordering the creek is a thriving gallery forest of native oaks, hackberry, and other tree species.
