Comments: A few weeks after a spring burn, vivid green grasses will emerge and flourish. By summer, the untrained eye wouldn't even know that I fire had taken place. In the past, fires of varying shape, size, and frequency burned the prairie grasses as part of a natural cycle of regrowth and mainenance.
