Morning Glory

Date: June 20, 2005 Location: Yellowstone National Park (Wyoming) Country: United States Comments: Morning Glory was once a deep blue hot spring. As trash and other debris is thrown into the water, the connection to hot water below slowly clogs, and the water temperature cools. This in turn changes what bacteria colonies can live in the hot spring, and ultimately the colors visible in the hot spring change. |
